Obituary of Rose Marie Harris

Rose Marie Harris, 87, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at home. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Lombardo and Lucy Miletta Lombardo and the wife of the late Kenneth W. Harris. She had lived in Upper Deerfield Twp. for the past four years and prior to that had resided in Deerfield and Hopewell Twp. and also Cedarville for many years. Before her retirement, Rose had been employed as a teacher’s aide at the Myron L. Powell Elementary School in Cedarville and also had been a waitress at Pete’s Restaurant in Cedarville. She was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeton and previous to that St. Michael’s Church in Cedarville. Rose enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and playing pinochle. She is survived by her son, Kenneth W. Harris, Jr. and his wife Mary of Deerfield Twp.; two sisters, Barbara Dagostino and her husband Raymond of Upper Deerfield Twp and Mary Jane Oliva of Vineland, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her son, Michael Harris, a sister, Philamena Marron and a brother, Salvino Lombardo. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church, 312 North Pearl Street, Bridgeton on Friday, July 15th at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Friends will be received at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM and on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 prior to the services.
