William F. Blizzard, Sr., 72, of Millville died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Inspira Hospital-Elmer.
The husband of Bonnie Baker Blizzard, he was born in Cedarville and was the son of the late Warren Blizzard and Clara Weldon Blizzard. He had been a Millville resident for 46 years and had lived in Fairfield Twp. and Hopewell Twp. prior to that.
A Veteran, he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a Corrections Officer at the Bayside State Prison in Leesburg for 26 years. Before that he had been employed with the Murbeck Co. in Bridgeton for 18 years.
William was an avid hunter, Motorcyclist, reader and traveler.
In addition to his wife Bonnie, he is survived by his two sons, William F. Blizzard, II (Jamie) of Belton, TX and Justin H. Blizzard (Joyous) of El Paso, TX and two grandchildren, Gabbie and William. He was predeceased by his brother, Warren Blizzard.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Thursday, August 18th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Millville. Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
