Obituary of Ruth M. Milbourne

Ruth M. Milbourne, age 69, of Millville died Monday, April, 2 2012 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Township following a year of declining health. She was born in Exmore, Virginia on October 6, 1942 to the late Cecil Upshur, Sr. and Ruth Shields Upshur and was the wife of the late William E. Milbourne, Sr. Mrs. Milbourne had lived at her present address in Millville for the past 40 years and prior to that had resided in Port Norris. She was a homemaker and an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Norris where she served as a youth director, president of Shiloh Express and president of the Deaconess Board. Survivors include: three daughters, Monica Milbourne of Millville, Myra Washington of Ewing Twp., and Erica Milbourne of Millville; five sons Kevin Milbourne, Sr. of Millville, Lionel Milbourne, Sr. of East Orange, Steven Milbourne of Millville, Marlin Milbourne, Sr. of Vineland and Martin Milbourne of Delaware; two brothers, Cecil Upsher, Jr. and Alphonso Upsher both of California; two sisters Anna Mae Young of Port Norris and Paula Brown of Vineland,18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step father who helped raise her, Henry Williams. Funeral Services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial Ave., Port Norris, on Saturday, April 7th at 1 PM. A visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the services. Burial will take place in Haleyville Methodist Cemetery, Commercial Township.
