Obituary of Ivan Cater

Ivan Cater, 72, of Fairfield Twp. died on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at his home under the care of Hospice. Born in Yugoslavia to the late Ivan Cater and Marija Vodeb Cater, he was the husband of the late Dorothy Bartones. He had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. since 1969 and prior to that he had lived in New York City. Ivan had owned and operated Bartone’s Bait Shop in Fairton for 44 years. He enjoyed buying and reselling houses, visiting the casinos, boating and collecting die cast cars. He was known to help people when he could. He is survived by two nieces and many family members overseas. Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family.
