Obituary of Randolph H. Bates, Jr.

Randolph H. Bates, Jr., 69, of Fairfield Twp. died on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Randolph was born in Bridgeton to the late Randolph H. Bates, Sr. and Reah Pickering Bates. He had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. since 2000 and prior to that had lived in Greenwich. He had been employed in the farming industry for many years for several area farms including Sheppard Farms in Cedarville and also had been a truck driver. Surviving are his three siblings, Roger Bates (Donald) of York, PA, Reah Bates of Hammonton and Russell Bates, Sr. (Jacqueline) of Greenwich; one niece, two nephews, six great-nephews and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard Bates and Robin Bates. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Tuesday, January 17th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
