Obituary of Muse P.H. Ale

Muse Ale, age 77, of Upper Deerfield Township died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at his home following a two year period of declining health. The husband of Betty Jane Owens Ale, he was born in Elmer on May 7, 1934 to the late Norman Ale and Beatrice Forman Ale. He had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident for 42 years and had lived in Hopewell Township prior to that. Mr. and Mrs. Ale would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this coming September 17th. Before his retirement he was employed as a long distance truck driver with Chemical Lehman Tank Lines in Bridgeport for 28 years where he was awarded the Million Mile Award for Safety. He was well known as the owner of "6 A", a race car that still competes in the Modified Car Class with its driver, Paul Weaver at Bridgeport Speedway and many other tracks through its career. A graduate of Bridgeton High School and avid Phillies, Eagles and Flyers fan, he also owned Tinker's Seafood Restaurant in Upper Deerfield Township for 6 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Sherry Craner (Ed Schieri) of Fairfield Township and Michelle Snyder (Randy) of Rosenhayn; two sons, Troy Ale (Karen) of Elmer and Vance Ale (Joyce) of Pittsgrove; a sister, Katharine Pilzer (Denny) of Riveria Beach, FL, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Norma Gray and a niece, Norma Jean Barta. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:30 PM. Friends will be received from 6 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home prior to the services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Elmer.
