Lillie B. Loatman, age 83, of Bridgeton died Monday, April 23, 2012 at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton following a five year period of declining health.
She was born in Stow Creek Township on December 10, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Joseph Harold Loatman and Rebecca Mosley Loatman. A Bridgeton resident for the past 44 years she had come to the area from Newark.
Ms. Loatman had been employed with several clothing companies in the area including the former Theber Company in Bridgeton. She was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indians of New Jersey.
Surviving are a son, Hartley Loatman of Newark; two sisters, Alice Reese of Newark and Eva Caesar of Alloway; a brother, Jerry Loatman of Hopewell Township and three grandchildren, Taylor Rae, Pharon and Lillian all of Georgia. She was predeceased by a son, CPL Rodney Loatman, five brothers, Joseph, Hartley, Frank, Ronald and Barry Loatman and three sisters, Hazel Loatman, Jacqueline McGill and Edith Loatman.
Private graveside funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Gouldtown Memorial Park in Fairfield Township where burial will follow the services. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
