Obituary of Mearldean Pierce

Mearldean Pierce, age 75, of Fairfield Township died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center. The wife of the late Charles S. Pierce, she was born in Glensville, Georgia on May 31, 1936 to the late Isaac West and Maggie Holloway West. She had been a resident of Fairfield Township for many years and also had lived in Cedarville and Springtown. Before her retirement, she had been employed with the Sheppard Bus Service in Fairton and the P.J. Ritter Co. and Hunt Foods Co. in Bridgeton. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield Township. Surviving are two daughters, Jean Brantley of Fairfield Township and Tammie Brown of Upper Deerfield Township; two sons, Timmy Pierce of Vineland and Charles Pierce of Winslow Township; a sister, Betty Watford of Bridgeton, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 737 Buckshutem Road, Fairfield Township on Thursday, October 6th at 12 Noon. Burial will take place at Gouldtown Memorial Park in Fairfield Township. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
