Obituary of Willie Lee Waters

Willie Lee Waters, 97, of Fairfield Twp. died on Monday, March 20, 2017 at her home. Willie was born in Old Columbia, AL to the late Sidney Brown and Ethel Lewis Brown. She had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. for the past 51 years and prior to that she had lived in Seabrook and Alabama. Willie had been educated in the Houston County School System. In her free time, she enjoyed watching baseball, going to wrestling matched, spending time with her family and grandchidlren, crabbing, cookouts, dancing and listening to music. She especially enjoyed listening to the blues and country western. Willie's favorite song was "The Train is Coming" and she enjoyed playing Ms. Pacman. She is survived by; two daughters, Vanessa Waters and Willie Mae Brown both of Bridgeton; a special grandson, Tatrein Waters who she raised since the age of two-months as her own of Bridgeton and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by; her daughter, Jeanette Waters Robinson; her son, Leonard Brown, Sr.; her daughter-in-law, Alice Brown; four grandchildren, Shirley Waters-Cisrow, Donald Jones, Lee Edward Brown and Harold Burks and 13 siblings. Funeral services will be held at Glory Tabernacle, 1018 Buckshutem Rd., Bridgeton on Tuesday, March 28th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
