Obituary of Barry K. Moore

Barry K Moore, 67, answered the Lord’s call to join Him for Opening Day of trout season in the early morning of April 8, 2017 to reel in his prized rainbow trout. Barry was born in Fairton, NJ, on May 3, 1949 to the late Alberta and Kelsey Moore. He went on to be a life-long resident of Millville, NJ, where he met his wife Kay and raised his family. Barry served six years in the Army Reserves before his career at Verizon. He went on to retired after 30 years of service in 2001. Barry then enjoyed his time fishing, hunting, travelling and being a great Poppop. He most recently was an active member of the Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church in Millville, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Moore; his son, Barry Moore, Jr.; his daughter Suzanne Evans and her husband, Wade Evans; his grandchildren Benjamin and Willow Evans; his sisters Vicky Wilkerson, Beth Solomon and her husband, Joseph Solomon, and Kathy Moore; his aunt Alice Johnson and her husband Russell Johnson; his nieces Kristyn Wilkerson and Noelle Solomon; and his nephews Ken Wilkerson Jr. and Joseph Solomon. In accordance with Barry’s wishes, there will be no funeral services held. The family will instead be hosting a “Celebration of Life” memorial at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church, 29 N Pearl St, Millville, NJ, on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. This is an opportunity to celebrate Barry’s life and share your memories of a man that could hold a conversation with anyone wherever he went.
