Obituary of Robert Thomas

            Robert Thomas, 77, of Bridgeton died on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland.

            Born in Camden, SC to the late William Thomas and Alberta Murphy Thomas, he was the husband of Johnnie Mae Robbins Thomas. Robert had been a resident of Bridgeton for the past 60 years and had lived in MA before that.

            Prior to his retirement, he had worked at Wheaton Glass in Millville for 37 years. In his free time, Robert enjoyed barbequing and fishing.

            In addition to his wife Johnnie Mae, he is survived by a son, Robert M. Thomas, Jr.; two grandchildren, Marvin Thomas, Jr. and Monay Thomas and three brothers, Jake Thomas of Elizabeth, Diroes “Doc” Thomas of NC and David Thomas of Millville. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Murphy, Edgar Thomas and Jimmie Thomas and two sisters, Essie Robinson and Mattie Green.

            Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, August 11th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
