Obituary of John E. Smith, Jr.

John E. Smith, Jr., 5, of Bridgeton, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 under the care of hospice and his family following a brief illness.

John was born in Vineland to Sheena Curry and John E. Smith, Jr. He had been a resident of the Bridgeton area most of his life. In his free time, John enjoyed dancing, eating, riding in his go kart, spending time with his family, running and playing.

He is survived by; his mother, Sheena Curry; his father, John E. Smith, Sr.; five siblings, John E. Smith, Janayshia Smith, Tiajanae Johnson, Niya Sherwood and Syria Sherwood; his maternal grandparents, Mary Curry and Pamela Clark; his paternal grandparents, Lydia Smith-Mack and John Ball; his pop-pop, John Dukes; his maternal great-grandmother, Alice Curry; his paternal great-grandmother, Alberta Smith and an uncle, Jeffery Curry. He was preceded in death by; his maternal grandfather, Curtis “Mike” Curry, his paternal great-grandfather, Daniel Johnson and his brother, Michael Curry.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77 on Friday, August 18th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp.
