Obituary of Leslie S. Hepner

Leslie S. Hepner, 89, of Millville died on Thursday evening, November 9, 2017 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland.

Born in Fairfield Twp. to the late Wililam Hepner and Helen Godown, he was the husband of the late Janet L. Tozer Hepner.

Prior to his retirement he had worked as a caregiver with Elwyn. He had also been previously employed as a milkman for Shoemaker and Ebner Dairies. Leslie had attended the First Church of the Nazerene in Hopewell Twp. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1945 to 1948. In his free time, Leslie enjoyed washing and waxing cars, barbequeing and making his world renowned potato salad. He was described as having a gentle heart.

He is survived by; his daughter-in-law, Nancy Hepner of Vineland, three sisters, Esther Fisher, Beatrice Campbell and Sharon Sheppard; five grandchildren, Lauren, Janeen, Danyelle, Amy and Stephen; two great-grandsons; a step-daughter, Becky Tozer Frantz; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and June Sutton of Cedarville and a special friend, Francisco “Cisco” Caiola. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Janet Hepner; his son, John Hepner and two brothers, Howard and William Hepner.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, November 18th at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 10 AM prior to the services.
