Obituary of June H. McAllister

            June Hitchner McAllister, age 91, of Friesburg passed away at home on Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was born in Cohansey on June 11, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Rena Hitchner (nee More). June was a 1943 graduate of Woodstown High School.

            She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Lester; her sons, Lester, Jr. (the late Isabel) of Cohansey, Edward of St. Petersburg, FL, Michael (Rosemarie) of Friesburg, Stephen (Melinda) of Friesburg and Todd (Sherry) of Stow Creek; her daughter, Cynthia Hardwick (Russell) of Alloway; five granddaughters; three great-grandsons and two sisters, Virginia Franzen of Monroeville and Shirley Davis of Rydal, PA.

            June had worked with her husband operating the family dairy farm and was a 4-H leader. She was a member of the Friesburg Lutheran Church.

            Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.  Interment will take place at Friesburg Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in June's memory to the Friesburg Lutheran Church, 366 Friesburg Cohansey Rd., PO Box 363, Elmer, NJ 08318.
