Obituary of Joseph J. Kimble

Joseph J. Kimble, 79, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his home.

Born in Bridgeton to the late Jack Kimble and Mary E. Dixon Kimble, he was the husband of Dannette J. Rempher. Joseph had been a resident of Upper Deerfield Twp. for the past eight years and before that he had lived in Bridgeton.

Prior to his retirement, he had worked for the City of Bridgeton for several years as a crossing guard and with the Road Department. Joseph had also been previously employed by the Cumberland County Road Department and at Seabrook House as maintenance and security. He had also served many years on the Bridgeton Fire Department as a Fireman and was a member of the Cumberland County Fire Police.

He is survived by; his wife, Dannette Kimble of Upper Deerfield Twp.; four children, Denise M. Watson and her husband, Chester of Maurice River Twp., Terri L. Shiflet and her companion, Jerry of Hopewell Twp., Kenneth A. Shiflet of FL and Brian K. Shiflet of Seabrook; a brother, Gerald Kimble of Clayton; a sister, Mary Lu Kimble of Bridgeton; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Paul Shiflet; a sister, Christina and two brothers, Burl, Sr. and Carl.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77 Upper Deerfield Twp on Monday, February 5th at 7 PM.
