Obituary of Carol Benjamin

Carol Benjamin, 64, of Vineland passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb, 15, 2018 at Cooper Hospital, Camden. Carol was born Feb, 23, 1953, in Bridgeton, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Julius and Dorothy Smith.

Carol was a loving mom to her son Michael Benjamin of Vineland, NJ. She was a wonderful sister to her three sisters, Theresa Rhoads of Millville, NJ. Evelyn Lysk of Benton, Pa and Janice Baker of Newfield, NJ. Carol was very close to her cousin Kathy Benjamin of Vineland, NJ, who was a good friend, too.

Carol was funny and she had a great sense of humor. She accepted her illness and said, ‘’It is what it is.’’ She loved to cook and she made great potato salad. She loved her cats, Simon and Sheldon and they loved her, too. Carol also loved our veterans and she was grateful to them for her freedom. Her heart was with veterans who were in wheel chairs like she was most of her adult life.

Carol will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Carol’s life to be held on Wednesday evening, February 21st from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Funeral services will be held the following morning at at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, February 22nd at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the services at Centerton Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol's memory may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
