Obituary of Robert M. Weldon

Robert M. Weldon, Jr., 34, of Newport died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Cooper Hospital in Camden following a brief battle with lung and kidney failure.

Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Robert M. Weldon, Sr. and Linda Oliver Weldon and was a lifetime Newport resident. 

He was a 2002 graduate of Bridgeton High School and Cumberland County Vocational Technical School.  He then graduated from the ITT Technical Institute in Marlton with an associates degree in applied science in computer and electronics engineering in 2016.

He enjoyed camping, reading, watching animals, playing video games and being with his family and friends. Known by family and friends as Mongo, Wolf, Gator, Uncly and Robbie, he may be gone and sadly missed but will never be forgotten for his silliness, being helpful and having a big heart.

In addition to his mother, Linda, of Newport he is survived by his sister, Diania of Newport, nephew, Patrick and nieces, Nicoleen and Helen along with his beloved dog, Bella.
