Obituary of Christine Humphreys

            Christine Humphreys, 77, of Hopewell Twp. passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at her home under the care of hospice and her family.

            Born in Waynesville, NC to the late Marion and Eula Woody, she was the wife of the late Robert J. Humphreys. Christine had been a resident of Hopewell Twp. since 1971 and prior to that she had lived in Bridgeton.

            Christine was a homemaker and in her free time she enjoyed canning, reading, crabbing and fishing.

            She is survived by five children, Lori Sharp of Fairton, Donna Sutton of Newport, TN, Walter Allison of Hopewell Twp., Ronnie Allison of Vineland and Pam Newkirk of Hopewell Twp.; three brothers, Harold Woody of Franklinville, Lester Woody of Cedarville and Donald Woody of Cedarville; a sister, Linda Brescia of Franklinville; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Allison; three grandsons, Stephen Hamidy, Matthew Allison and Kenneth Newkirk, Jr. and six brothers, Marion Woody, Jr., Edward Woody, Leonard Woody, James Woody, Walter Woody and R.L. Woody.

            Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, December 12^th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Twp.
