Obituary of Etroy Fletcher
Etroy Fletcher, 87, of Bridgeton passed away peacefully on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home.
Born in Waycross, GA to the late Joseph Fletcher, Jr. and Catherine Middleton Fletcher, he was the husband of Otelia Green Fletcher. He was a resident of the Bridgeton area for most of his life.
Etroy had been a barber by profession since the age of 26. He owned and operated Fletcher's Barber Shop in Bridgeton for over 60 years. He was known to give out advice on how to live a “good life” to his customers while they were sitting in his barber's chair and in his shop. In his free time, he was an avid poker player and enjoyed his visits to Atlantic City.
In addition to his wife, Otelia, he is survived by his four daughters, Sharon Fletcher of Allentown, PA, Leslie Robinson of Bethlehem, PA, Tracey Williams of Stow Creek and Amy Fletcher of Glassboro; two brothers, Willie Joe Fletcher of Bridgeton and Charles Fletcher of Bridgeton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Roscoe and Rosemary Fedd and a brother, Leo Fletcher.
Funeral services will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 90 Matthew Brown Way, Bridgeton on Saturday, January 5th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
