Obituary of Raymond Kenelia

            Raymond J. Kenelia, 71, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home under the care of his family and hospice. 

            The husband of Patricia Allen Kenelia, he was born in Bridgeton and was the son of the late Michael J. Kenelia and Anna Martell Kenelia.  He had been a resident of Upper Deerfield Township for 48 years. 

            Prior to his retirement, he had been employed with Verizon for 30 years. 

            He was a member of the Deerfield Presbyterian Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

            A veteran, Raymond had served his country in the United States Navy with two tours of duty in Vietnam. 

            In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his three children, Paul Benjamin Kenelia (Renee) of Pennsville, David Alan Kenelia of Norma and Beth Kathryn Kenelia of Upper Deerfield Township; two brothers, Richard Kenelia of Upper Deerfield Township and Anthony Kenelia of Fairton and his grandson, Nicholas “Nico” Kenelia.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Michael J. Kenelia, Jr., Joseph “Chubby” Kenelia and Donald Kenelia.

            Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 19^th at 11 AM at Deerfield Presbyterian Church, 530 Old Deerfield Pike, Upper Deerfield Township.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Ray’s memory be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
