Obituary of Richard A. Gallagher

Richard A. Gallagher, 61, of Millville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Joseph C. Gallagher and Maria Rodriguez Gallagher, he was the husband of Barbara A. Pettit Gallagher. At the age of five, Richard moved to Yonkers, NY where he lived with his family until age 14. He then moved to Dorothy until his early 20's when he moved to Cumberland County.

Prior to his retirement in 2015, Richard had been employed by Nipro Glass Co. as lead set-up mechanic for 16 years. He had also helped build and set up the Wheaton Worldwide facility at the Millville Airport from 1994-1999 and had worked for West Company as a plant manager in Cleona, PA. In his free time, Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by; his wife, Barbara Gallagher of Millville; four children, Jameson Gallagher of Vineland, Denise Polland and her husband, Jeremy of Millville, Melody A. Jones of Millville and Dennis R. Jones, Jr. of Millville; a sister, Carmen Killens of TX and seven grandchildren, Autumn, Morgan, Damien, Logan, Alan, Riley, Reagen and Hunter.
