Obituary of John Rizzo, Sr.

John Rizzo, Sr., 49, of Millville passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, October 19, 2019.

Born in Vineland to the late Alberto Rizzo and Sandra Lee Dawson Overs, he had been a resident of Millville for the past year and prior to that he had lived in Cedarville and Florida.

John was the owner and operator of John Rizzo Painting and Home Remodeling since 1995. He had also worked as a manager for Walmart in Ocala, FL. John was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and a fervent supporter of local law enforcement. Although he loved his work and spent a lot of his free time working, he also enjoyed fishing. His family described him as a loving father who's favorite thing to do was watch football with his son, John, Jr.

He is survived by; his son, John Rizzo, Jr. (Kimberly Brown) of Millville; his step-mother, Violet Rizzo; his siblings, Roselee Rizzo of Commercial Twp., Marie Whitson (Dave) of Pittsgrove Twp., Albert Rizzo, Jr. (Kim) of Deerfield Twp., Cynthia Overs of Millville, David Overs, Jr of Texas, Debra Bowser of Pittsgrove Twp. and James Bowser (Suzy) of Washington Twp. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a niece, Lisa Dilks.

Memorial Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday October 25th at 7 PM.
