Memories were created every time I was with Ronnie , He loved to tell stories and share his waterfowl knowledge and skill , I hunted with Ron on his farm and very much enjoyed the company and conversation's we had , Ron liked to argue but always in a positive and fun way ,and would help anyone in need ,Ron was old school and his hand shake was his word , Just before he became ill Ron asked me to carve him a pair of Broad Bill Scaup heads for two long island body's that had broken heads , When I gave him the heads he presented me with two hand carved Broad Bills created on Long Island from his Private collection ! Ron was a Giving Man and truly loved his friends ! I was Blessed to have Ron call me his friend and will surly miss him until that day when we Meet again . Michael Schwartz

My fondest memory of Ronnie is the first time I was at his farm. For a man who spent so many years on the waters of Long Island, he was very comfortable taking about plowing, planting and harvesting. He took me on a tour in the U.S mail jeep that Was the farms official vehicle. To listen to him and to see the gleam in his eyes as he described this field, that pond and what he found in the woods last week, you would swear he was born on this land. In between visits he would call to excitedly tell you something new he had planted or what equipment he bought at the auction. He truly was at home here. I will miss him. A lot. He would always be willing to lend an ear. He always showed an interest in what you were doing. He was more than just my Brother in Law. I am proud to call him my close friend.
