Mrs.Simmerman & family,
My deepest condolences to you and the entire family. While I have not met you, I did come to know the family at large with the many meetings and common sense of family conversations I had with Gary over the years. I have known and been in contact with Gary on and off over the past 30 years, since his days with United Jersey/Summit Bank.
Gary was always sincere and caring and a true gentlemen in everyway to everyone he met.
The opportunity to have known him and become a business friend was my gain and the memories of his persona will always be with me.
My sincere sympathies to you and the entire family.

To the Family of Gary Simmerman,
My deepest sympathies to all of you in this most difficult time. Although I have not met most of you, I do feel I know a little about you because at the many lunches I had with Gary and would enthusiastically talk about each of you. My relationship with Gary began about 15 yers ago when Gary served on the committee to restore the Bridgeton football stadium, where Gary played. He was totally committed to see that project to completion. And he did. It was then when I first realized the passion and drive that Gary had was evident in everything he did. And as you know, and I found out, Gary was involved in a lot.
In 2011, I was elected to the Cumberland County Freeholder Board, a position Gary knew well. He was the first person to approach me and offer his help. That was not lip service. We met often and he always had terrific advice and I valued his experience and wisdom and will be forever grateful for his support and help.
Finally, Gary became a valued friend. One that I will truly miss just as you will miss him as a husband and father.
My sincere blessings to all of you. I regret that I have an illness that prevents me from attending and expressing my sympathies in person.

Barbara and I extend our deepest sympathy to Gary's family. It was quite a shock to hear of his passing. I had the honor and pleasure of working with Gary for nearly fifteen years at CNB/UJB. He was admired and respected by everyone. Gary will certainly be missed by friends and family, but he is now with our Lord in paradise. May God bless Gary's family. Respectfully, Harry and Barbara Gooding.

I remember campaigning door to door for Gary and others for city council in Bridgeton. That was when I was in high school and Tom Roberts, Rob Weber and others joining us knocking on many doors promising that the group would spend the tax payers dollars wisely. It was nice to back a winner and a pleasure to know Gary over the years. Always smiling and friendly. Ray Maier.

I remember Mr Simmerman when i cut the lawn at the tea burners monument for Mrs Ayers. He would show up with his lawn mower and i would have the lawn cut. He would always have a kind word to say. Also I worked at the bank for 10 years while he was President of the UJB/Cumberland National. Again always was [pleasant and had a good word to say. He will be missed. Prayers to the family.
