Obituary of Willie James McCoy

Willie James McCoy, 63, of Cedarville passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his home under the care of hospice and his family. Born in Bridgeton to the late Cornelius Louis McCoy and Annie Lee McCoy, he was the husband of Jessie Johnson McCoy. Willie had been a resident of Cedarville for his entire life. Prior to his retirement, he had been a union construction worker for Local 553 out of Camden. In his free time, Willie enjoyed riding his Kawasaki KZ-1000 motorcycle, cooking and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by; his wife, Jessie McCoy of Cedarville; his daughter, Annie Lee McCoy of Cedarville; three step-daughters, Vickie Johnson of Millville, Valerie Smith and her husband, Kevin of Millville and Jessica Johnson of Millville; three brothers, Tim McCoy of Bridgeton, Lester McCoy of Upper Deerfield Twp. and John McCoy of Bridgeton; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his step-daughter, Diana Johnson; five brothers, Paris McCoy, Louis C. McCoy, Lonnie McCoy, Frank McCoy and Ernest McCoy and three favorite nieces, Dalphine McCoy, Suzanne “Toot” Brown and Tawanda McCoy. Funeral services will be held at Crusaders for Christ Church, 33 Reeves Rd., Bridgeton on Monday, March 2nd at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
