Obituary of James B. French

James Ballard French passed away at the age of 84, on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Inspira Medical center in Vineland.
He was born February 1, 1936 in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated from Wilmington High School and was a graduate of University of Delaware receiving his B.A. and Rutgers with his Masters in Mathematics. He then pursued Higher Mathematics/Glassboro (now Rowan) and Mathematics and Administration at Cumberland County College. He also attended Seton Hall-higher Math-summer session
Jim was a Pike Fraternity Member and taught Mathematics in Bridgeton High School for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet Counsellor Stoffels French; a son, James Stoffels and his wife Pat, and his beloved grandchildren, Alexandria Brumbrough , Annelese Stoffels and Jeremy and Amy Lubin and a great-granddaughter, Alexa Lubin Sams.
He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil French and Chattie Ballard French and his daughter, Barbara Lubin.
Jim spent four years in the US Navy in the Missile Division. He spent time on the submarine – Abraham Lincoln.
He enjoyed his yard and working around the house doing special projects, spending time with his grandchildren and their hobbies. He was an avid reader. He always loved having something that was challenging to him.
Jim was a member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Woodstown, NJ
Funeral arrangements were private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
