Obituary of Albert L. Smith

Albert L. Smith, age 53, of Hockessin, DE, departed this life on Monday, September 24, 2012. He had been in declining health for the past two and a half years. Born in Bridgeton on December 26, 1958 he was the son of the late Herbert L. Smith, Sr. and Aloha Wallace Smith. He had been a Delaware resident for six years and lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Albie loved to play baseball and basketball and was an avid chess player. He had previously been employed with the B & B Poultry Company in Norma. He leaves to cherish his memory, three children, Chad of South Carolina and Brandon and Shadasia both of Bridgeton; six brothers and two sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by three brothers, Herbert, Jr., Thomas and James Smith. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Monday, October 1st at 12 Noon. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
