Obituary of Alphonzo Williams, Sr.

Alphonzo Williams, Sr., 66, of Millville passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Genesis-Millville Center. Born in James Island, SC to the late Joseph Gibbs and Delores Gibbs, he was the husband of the late Connie Ireland Williams. Alphonzo had moved to Philadelphia as a young child and the came to Millville/Port Norris area as a teenager where he resided for most of his life. Alphonzo had been previously employed as a fork lift operator at William Consalo and Sons in Vineland. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Port Norris. In his free time, Alphonzo enjoyed hanging out with his buddies and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by; five children, Alexander Williams, Lenore Williams, Aphonzo Williams, Jr. (Elisa), Angela Williams and Desiree Williams all of Millville; 10 grandchildren, Tamera, AJ, Steven, Anginae, Almaciya, Alphonzo III, Brazon, Lennasia, Jakobe, Aidinae, Yohana, Na'jya, Raelyn, Ah'Zonte; his sister, Katrina Gibbs of New Castle, DE and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by a sister, Reese Gibbs. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
