Obituary of Lois J. Kuhar

Lois J. Kuhar, 85, of Bridgeton passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at her home under the care of Hospice and her family. Born in Johnstown, PA to the late William Muffley and Stella Webb Muffley, she was the wife of the late Nicholas Kuhar, Sr. Lois moved to Bridgeton when she was 32 because her husband had taken a job at Owens Illinois Glass Co. She had been a resident of Cumberland County ever since. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a sewing machine operator for Santa’s Best in Vineland for 15 years. Lois had been previously employed at DeSantis Dress Co. in both Bridgeton and Vineland, Mark Manufacturing, Chatum Dress Co., Major Clothing and several other companies in the Cumberland County area. In her free time, she enjoyed walking downtown with her children, sewing at home, cooking and baking. She is survived by; her children, Darlene Adams and her husband, Joel of Bridgeton, Nicholas Kuhar, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Alloway Twp., Daniel Kuhar of Alloway Twp. and Diana Kuhar who also served as her caregiver of Bridgeton; her sister, Sandy Compton of Maryland; eight grandchildren and four great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Nicholas Kuhar, Sr.; her son, Randy Kuhar; and her siblings, William Muffley, Robert Muffley, Leo Muffley, Joe Muffley, Pete Muffley, Anna Mae Michael, Chuck Muffley, Ronald Muffley and Paul Muffley.
