Obituary of Susan Carol Diaz

Susan C. Hayes-Diaz, 60, of Pittsgrove Twp. passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to Hazel L. Massey and the late Joseph Hayes, she was the wife of Roberto Diaz. Susan had been a resident of Pittsgrove Twp. for the past 12 years but had been a Bridgeton resident most of her life. She had also briefly resided in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Susan had been a homemaker who tirelessly cared for her family. She loved doing arts and crafts and also enjoyed cooking and baking. Her family said everything she cooked was wonderful. They especially enjoyed her chicken and dumplings. Susan was known to take many pictures of her friends and family and loved listening to music especially Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. She is survived by; her husband, Roberto Diaz of Pittsgrove; her mother, Hazel L. Massey; her children, Anita Hernandez of Bethlehem, PA, Ismael Hernandez II, of Bridgewater, IL, Robert Scott Diaz of Pittsgrove Twp. and Varonica Diaz of Pittsgrove Twp.; ten grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Sawyer and Joanne Harvey. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, December 28th at 3 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 PM to 3 PM prior to the services.
