Irene Armstead, age 58, of Bridgeton died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Care Unit in Bridgeton. She had been in declining health since 2005.
Born in Bridgeton on December 8, 1953 she was the daughter of the late George P. Armstead and Dorothy May Booker Armstead and had been a Bridgeton area resident most of her life. She attended Glory Tabernacle Church in Fairfield Township.
Surviving are three sons, Christopher Armstead of Millville, Arcanas Armstead of Willingboro and Dwayne Armstead of Bridgeton; two sisters, Rose Mary Armstead of Vineland and Judy Ann Armstead of Bridgeton, 18 Grandchildren and one Great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her daughter, Aleatha Armstead and four brothers, Junior, Willie, Alan Armstead and George Lee Booker.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, November 10th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Yorktown Cemetery in Pilesgrove Twp.
