Obituary of Phillip C. Martin Jr.

Philip C. “Philly Phil” Martin Jr. ,50, of Elmer, NJ went home to be with the lord on June 1, 2021 unexpectedly. Philip was born July 4, 1970 in Millville, NJ to Shirley Martin(Morris) and the late Philip C. Martin Sr. of Newport, NJ. Phil’s was the only child whom was educated through Newport Public School System. Phil attended Bridgeton High School through 9th-12th grade and graduated year of 1988. Philip went to PenCo Tec in 1990 to become a welder. He welded the majority of his life. He enjoyed traveling to different states to pursue his welding. Philip had plenty of good times and memories that he will be leaving us with. He enjoyed watching football and basketball games, visiting his mother, playing cards with his children, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Philip loved to make everyone around him laugh, it was never a dual moment with him. He was a loving, caring, and respectable man. Philip was the grill master. He loved to grill no matter what the season was. Philip is predeceased in death by his father Philip C. Martin Sr. and one grandson Dominique I. Martin Jr. Philip leaves to cherish his memory his mother Shirley J. Martin of Bridgeton,NJ; four children, Chantel J. Martin of Millville, NJ Philip C. Martin III of Laurel Lake, NJ Dominique I. Martin Sr. Of Newport, NJ and Cheyenne A. Martin of Millville, NJ. Along with 5 grandchildren Yariah S. Moore, Terry R. Moore Jr, Joshua A. Moore, Kendra O. Martin and Dominique I. Martin Jr. with a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, June 18th at 11AM. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 10AM to 11AM prior to the services.
