Obituary of Dannette J. Kimble

Dannette J. Kimble, 77, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Elmer. Born in Bridgeton to the late Daniel M. Rempfer and Jennie F. Griner Rempfer, she was the wife of the late Joseph J. Kimble. Dannette had been a resident of Upper Deerfield Twp. for the past 11 years and prior to that she had lived in Fairfield Twp. and Bridgeton. Before her retirement, Dannette had worked as a crossing guard for the City of Bridgeton most often stationed at Commerce and Lawrence Streets and Laurel and Laning Streets. She had also worked as a waitress at the former Bridgetowne Diner, the former Nolan's Restaurant and as a poll worker for the Cumberland County Board of Elections. She had spent many years volunteering her time at the Bridgeton Invitationals. Dannette was a member of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time, she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and watching all kinds of sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. She is survived by four children, Denise M. Watson (Chester) of Maurice River Twp., Terri L. Shiflet (Jerry) of Hopewell Twp., Kenneth A. Shiflet of FL and Brian K. Shiflet of Seabrook; her sister in law, Mary Lu Kimble of Bridgeton; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Paul Shiflet; and five grandchildren, CJ, Sarah, Danielle and two that passed at birth. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, August 16th at 3:30 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM prior to the services.
