Obituary of Clara Mae Burns

Clara Mae Burns, 61 of, Paulsboro formerly of Bridgeton passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Manor Care in West Deptford Twp. Born in Millville to the late J.C. Carter and Georgiana Buxton, she was the wife of George F. Spencer. Clara had been a lifetime resident of the Bridgeton area. Clara had been most recently employed at the Former Four Start Chicken facility in Bridgeton. She had been formerly employed at Clean Pac in Millville. In her free time, Clara enjoyed singing and dancing. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by; her husband, George F. Spencer of Bridgeton; her children, Lewis Charles Hogans, Jr. of Millville, Christopher Burns, Sr. of Vineland, Robert Harvey of Vineland and Larry A. Burns of Salem; seven grandchildren, Christopher Lee Burns, Jr., Austin James Miller, Harvai R. Harvey, Enyla M. Harvey, Gracelynn Burns, Jasmine Burns and Hazel Burns and ten siblings, Lola Wilson of Bridgeton, Hattie Burden of Bridgeton, Bobby Carter of Trenton, Mae Jones of GA, Bonnie Carter of Bridgeton, Larry Carter, Linda Mack of Bridgeton, Ida Burns of Deptford, Nathaniel Burns of NY and Albert Burns of Bridgeton. She was preceded in death by; her granddaughter, Annabelle Harvey; her brothers, Charles Carter, Edward Carter and John Lo Burns; her sisters, Elizabeth Burns and Annie Pearl Smith and her twin sister, Barbara Burns. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, December 31st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
