So many memories that I will hold near and dear to my heart. This is one of my favorites. Whenever we visited each other, we would have an "us" day. We would take off to somewhere, eat, shop, and have fun. On one such trip, with Bonnie loving movies the way she did, I decided to take her to a little town called Micanopy. They filmed Doc Hollywood there. It's a small quaint town with big oak trees with Spanish moss hanging from them, which she fell in love with, and which I still to this day, think is creepy, lol. There we talked to the locals who regaled us with stories about Michael J Fox, Woody Harrelson, and the cast. Did lunch and hit the shops. When we returned to Burt's, we related our day and pulled out our purchases from our bags. We burst out laughing upon discovering that each of us had secretly purchased things for the other that we had seen them admire in the stores. Pelicans for her, birds for me. Upon her return to Jersey, she called me with excitement in her voice. She had rewatched the movie and was recognizing places we had visited. I will truly miss our adventures. Love you my friend.

Bonnie was my first girlfriend, we were 10 years old! Lol.... I remember the day we moved to Florida, Bonnie was standing on my mommom's porch waving goodbye when my dad stopped the station wagon and let me get out of the car to give Bonnie one last hug goodbye. From that moment I will never forget what would become something we would remember forever and laugh about years upon years.... our best worse kiss ever! RIP my dear friend.

Bonnie was /is my hero!!i met her several years ago at the eht vet center ..she was every veterans first point of contact and did her job with the precission of a field officer..she always had a smile n kind word to offer and made u feel immediately at home with the extended veteran families n staff..she went way beyond her office duties and truly loved interacting and helping anyone in need.. Just before the pandemic hit 2 yrs ago i encountered bonnie decorating the xmas tree n reception area..i offered to help and she let me her finish . in between she was juggling the phones..greeting visitors and concurring with staff and all the other things she did on a daily basis that was truly amazing and professional.. There is no words to say how much i will miss her. Our heartfelt thoughts n prayers to family..friends.co.workers and especially veteran clients like mysef. Who will never forget her devotion to us veterans and the vet center mission..thanku bonnie..u r missed and loved now and always..jeff g n linda d.
