Elwood Cecil Pierce, 64, of Camden passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Born in Bridgeton to the late Littleton Pierce and Hattie Harmon Pierce, Elwood was a long time resident of Bridgeton before relocating to Camden 4 years ago. He worked for Salem Packing as a butcher for most of his career. Elwood was a big fan of football and his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He visited Atco raceway frequently to enjoy the ¼ mile strip. Elwood took every opportunity to enjoy life and will be remembered as a jokester. Seven years ago he connected with his biological father, Elwood Cecil Craig. This allowed him to meet his half siblings and he was able to develop a deep relationship with this side of his family which he had never known. He is survived by; his daughter, Lacole Cruz of Cedarville; his siblings, Mark Pierce of Millville and Kathy Pierce Sample (Raplh) of Harrington DE; his half siblings, Lawrence Craig (Catherine) of Delaware, Charlotte Craig Carney (Milton) of Delaware, Elreta Craig Northrop (Aaron) of Delaware and Amin Hassan (Yoko) of Delaware; his aunts, Maxine Green of Salem and Mary Pierce of Gouldtown; a special cousin, Pam Wynder of Millville and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by; his parents, Littleton and Hattie Pierce; his biological father, Elwood Cecil Craig; his siblings, James David Pierce, Littleton Pierce, Jr., Mary Heggs, Josephine Mae Pierce, Florence Pierce and half brother Gideon Craig.
