Obituary of Shirley A. Crooks

Born in Bridgeton in May 9, 1951 to the late Frederick Carter and Patsy Little Carter, she was the wife of Earl Crooks. She had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton. She had been previously employed at Seabrook Brothers and Sons in Upper Deerfield Township. In addition to her husband, she is survived by ten sisters, Flora Cole of Camden, Cordelia McClain of Bridgeton, Patricia Pierre-Paul of CT, Virginia Carter of Clayton, Vanessa Carter of Rosenhayn, Loretta Lee of CT, Diane Ferguson of PA, Sandra Lewis of Bridgeton, Louisa Ratliff of Bridgeton and Christina Ratliff of Bridgeton; two brothers, Jerry Ratliff of DE and Ralph Carter of Bridgeton and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Frederick Carter, Jr. and Audrey Carter. Funeral Services will be held at St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church, 215 Richardson Ave., Bridgeton, on Saturday, December 22nd at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
