Obituary of Emmett C. Baker, Jr.

The son of Hattie Jamison Baker of Atlanta, GA and the late Emmit C. Baker, he was born in Dividing Creek on December 21, 1946 and had been a Millville resident since 1972. Prior to that he had lived in Vineland. Before his retirement, Mr. Baker had been employed with the Durand Glass Co. for over 25 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by six sisters, Whilimenia Troxler of Vineland, Pauline Baker-Ford and Myyon Baker both of Atlanta, GA, Gwen Baker-Willis of Fayetteville, GA, Terri Lynn Baker and Donna Baker-Peat both of Atlanta, GA; his beloved companion, Belinda Gross of Millville and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Theodore Baker, Sr. and a sister Linda Baker-Grant. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, Dec. 31st at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery.
