I've know Ernie since the mid-70's, having met him as my wife's now former brother-in-law. My wife and I have so many fond memories of Ernie. Tennis, music, IT and his significant other Ruth were a big part of his life. Throw in plenty of beer, pepperoni & cheese and we had many a party! Ernie could be very introspective and a deep thinker of currents in the world. God bless him, he taught me that there is more to life than the sports pages.
Life took us in different directions, but thankfully I reconnected with him in 2019, and for the past year and a half we have been meeting for breakfast at his favorite diner, catching up on our past, and life in today's crazy world. His passing from this world into the next was very sad for me to hear.
Thanks "my brother" for all the fun times over the past years! I will pray often that you are at peace and smiling down on all your friends and family down here on mother earth. Save a few beers for me up there!!!
