Obituary of Dolores Jamison

Dolores was born on March 23, 1929 in Bridgeton to the late Edgar Leon Brown, Sr. and Carolyn Williams Brown. She had been previously employed by PJ Ritters in Bridgeton and Rabbit Hill Farms in Shiloh. She was an active member of Greater Saint Augustine AME Zion Church of Bridgeton until her health began declining in 2010. She is survived by; six daughters, Deborah (Issac) Lowe of Bridgeton, Valerie Jamison of Bridgeton, Kim Logan of Bridgeton, Marla Jamison of Gleen Burnie, MD, Shelly Jamison of the United States Army Nation Guard of Norwalk, CA, and Wanda Robinson of Millville; a special daughter, Jayne Mansfield Alston of Millville and her son, Floyd Smith of Bridgeton; six sons, Edgar Brown of Bridgeton, Bryan Jamison of Bridgeton, Richard Jamison of Bridgeton, Clarence Jamison of Wilmington, DE, Williston Jamison of Bridgeton and Keith Jamison of Millville; six grandchildren she raised, Clarence Thompson, Anthony Logan, Shakeya Leary, Tameika Jamison, Marquita Jamison, and Dion Jamison; 55 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hartley (Mickey) (Ernestine) Brown, Sr. of Bridgeton, George (Mary) Brown, Sr. of Bridgeton and Donald Brown, Sr. of Salem. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Ralph Jamison, Sr.; her parents, Edgar and Carolyn Brown, Sr.; two sisters, Barbara Brown Loatman and Geraldine Hitchins; two brothers, Edgar and Williston Brown; a son, Ralph "Peter" Jamison, Jr. and a daughter, Denise Jamison. Funeral Services will be held at the Greater St. Augustine AME Zion Church, 410 N. Pearl Street, Bridgeton on Monday, January 7th 2013 at 1 pm. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the church from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the services.
