Obituary of Stella Mae Cochran

Stella Mae Cochran, 88, of Fairfield Township, passed away at home on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Born in Laurel, DE, she was the wife of the late Craven Cochran Sr. She resided in Fairfield Township for almost 70 years and previously lived in Bridgeton as a child. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Progresso Foods in Vineland in the quality assurance department for about 25 years. Stella had been previously employed at Murbecks for many years up until closing and worked for Martin Dye and Finishing. She was a member of the Bethany Christian Church in Bridgeton. Stella enjoyed watching TV, especially western shows and shopping on HSN and QVC. Stella was the last of her siblings. She is survived by; her six children, Barbara Cochran of Bridgeton, Jerry Cochran of Orlando FL, Linda Fedd (Jerome) of Vineland, Darlene Cochran of Fairfield Twp., Daymund Cochran of Wilmington DE and Lawrence Cochran (Alexis) of Millville; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Lawrence Hitchens and Buella Bolden Hitchens; her husband, Craven Cochran Sr.; her son, Craven Cochran Jr.; daughter in-law, Sonia Cochran and four siblings, Lawrence Hitchens Jr., Helen Planer, Adeline Rawls, and Peggy Hitchens. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, November 5th, at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Cedarhill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
