Obituary of John E. Bertolini

John E. Bertolini, age 96, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. The son of the late Silvio Bertolini and Sabina Boscola Bertolini he was born in Ehrenfield, Pennsylvania and was the husband of the late Sara Corona Bertolini. He had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident for 19 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. John was a Veteran of World War Two and served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross in Bridgeton. Before his retirement, he had been employed with the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton and later with the headquarters in Toledo, Ohio as a Field Engineer. He is survived by a daughter, Brenda G. Cole (Alan) of Upper Deerfield Township; three grandsons, Matthew Navone, Jeffrey Cole and Brian Cole; two great grandchildren, Gabrielle DeVita and Joseph DeVita; a step-grandson, Phillip Navone; a sister in law, Annie Bertolini and former son in law, Larry Navone. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Michelle DeVita and several brothers and sisters. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13th at 11:00 AM at the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church, 312 North Pearl Street, Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township.
