Q: What did Patricia like to do in their free time?
A: It was a privilege to get to know Pat. Such a sweet lady who always was real. I remember going to AC with her and that she loved to play those slots.

My favorite memory of Aunt Pat is a Christmas memory. She gave me my favorite Christmas gift EVER one year. It was a Steve Urkle doll that talked when you pulled the string. I appreciated it so much because I knew she didn’t have much and picked it out just for me! I love her so much and I know she loves me too.

Q: What was Patricia really good at?
A: Making you SMILE! Ms Pat really kept you on your toes because you never knew what she was gonna say next. There was one time when she called the shop to order some food, and in the middle of it, her medicine must’ve kicked in, because the next 5 minutes was a hoot. She started talking about how she needed all this food because she didn’t want to run out. She thought she was throwing a party and everyone was on their way! I tried to tell her that she didn’t need it but she wasn’t having any of that. She was one tough cookie. Rest in peace and joy. Love you Pat!

So Pat, Aunt Diana and Uncle Russel, Carol Schweitzer and Bucci, also my parents were all good friends.
I can remember them all for as long as my memory takes me back. While the men were at work the ladies would gather with their children at one anothers houses. The kids would all be playing and the ladies would gather around the kitchen table and drink instant sanka and SMOOOKKKEEE cigarettes Salem Lights for everyone. And chat about what was on their mind
That kitchen was so smoked up it was like a huge cloud with those 4 ladies all smoking away.
. The kids had to stay out of the kitchen. (Aunt Diana rules were if you arent 18 you were not allowed in the kitchen).
Not being allowed in the kitchen didnt bother us kids much though. We were happy to be all together to play.
Remember Aunt Diana had 4 kids, Carol had 3 , Pat had 3 myself and Aunt D.
Pat always seemed to have a couple extras that she would babysit. the place always had plenty of kids to go around.
And when Aunt Diane Hoffman was done working for the day she would always come over with snacks for us all or Gino’s hamburgers and french fries.
A good time was had by all !!
If all the couples got together they usually all would go to the Moose Lodge or The Eagles Club for cocktails. Alot of times the kids would all go to one house with one babysitter. Usually Delores or Debbie Overstreet. We usually had a sleep over or our parents would carry us out half asleep when their festivities were over.
This is just a glimpse of my childhood with these crazy friends and Family. If I put my mind to it “ I could probably write a book”. All my Love Aunt San

I will forever cherish our memories we have together. From sleepovers with you and Uncle B at your little brick house to my visits with you at Lincoln Specialty Care. You never failed to make those around you laugh. I will never forget the time I got you to eat the actual rock pebbles from your table centerpiece that I told you were candy lol. I hope I can make you proud, I love you forever Grandmom!
