Obituary of Joseph M. Johnson

Joseph M. Johnson, age 47 of Wilmington, Delaware; departed this earthly life on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Joseph was born on January 20, 1976, in Camden, NJ; to Ms. Wanda Davis; and was blessed to be nurtured and raised by his adoptive parents Pastor Joseph Johnson, Sr. and Ms. Roberta Heggs. Joseph received his education in the Bridgeton Public School System. During his early years, Joseph was employed by the Bridgeton Evening News. He later accepted employment with KFC restaurant and held various other jobs throughout his life. Joseph was a “Free- Spirited” person who loved to travel and experience all that life had to offer. He was always faithful in staying connected to family and friends through social media especially on their birthdays. In his spare time, you could find Joseph reading comic books and drawing his favorite comic characters. Joseph was raised in a Christian home. He attended Crusaders For Christ Evangelistic Center in Bridgeton, NJ under the leadership of Apostle Thelma R. Malone. Joseph also attended Victory In Christ Ministry, Inc. Fairton (Formerly COGIC, Inc. Fairton) under the leadership of Chief Apostle Mary L. Woods. He found himself a part of each church's Youth Choir during his time of attendance. Joseph leaves to cherish his memory; his father, Pastor Joseph (Co-Pastor Harriet) Johnson, Sr., his mother, Ms. Roberta Heggs. His seven Brothers: Lamont Davis, Gary Davis, Terry Thomas, Princeton Davis, Anthony “Tony” Williams, Joseph (Regina) Johnson Jr., Jeremiah J. Johnson, Sr. His eight Sisters: Monda R. Johnson, Phyllis Davis, Eugina Davis, Elizabeth M. Thomas, Monique Davis-Akinsiku, Moniqa Davis, Tonette Williams, Sarah (Associate Pastor Stephen) Boyd. And a host of his Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
