Obituary of Patricia Sloan

Patricia T. Sloan, age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, March 18th, 2023, at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Township. Born in Bridgeton on September 11, 1942 to the late James and Margaret Truett, she worked at Sloan’s Flower Shop, Armstrong Glass, and Kimble Glass. She then moved to Adel, Georgia where she lived for many years. Patricia was an avid Star Trek fan and loved sci-fi movies. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with her grandchildren. She also took pleasure in listening to her great-grandchildren read bedtime stories. She is survived by her son, Gary Sloan Jr. and wife Karen, as well as her daughter, Tracy Barbera and husband Philip; six grandchildren Killian, Mackenzie, Kaiden and Melanie Sloan, John Hitchner III, and Michelle Wilson and six great-grandchildren Georgina, John, Vera, Edith, Scarlett, and Madi Lynn. Graveside services will be held at Fernwood Cemetery on Monday, April 3rd at 4:00 PM.
