Obituary of Leonard Costin

Leonard Costin, 63, of Bridgeton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at his home. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of Bobbie Williams Costin of Fairfield Township and the late James Costin. He had lived in Virginia for several years and had returned to Bridgeton in 2018. He had been employed in the construction trade with several area firms including Baruffi Construction in Vineland. Leonard was an avid football and basketball fan and also enjoyed reading. In addition to his mother, he is survived by seven children, Angela Finch of VA, Jovan Costin of Bridgeton, Aarron Costin of Millville and Jamere Costin, Shanae Costin, Denzel Costin and Heavenly Smith all of Bridgeton; four brothers, Tony Costin, James Costin, Jr., Raymond Costin and Phillip Costin; eight sisters, Dorothy Burgess, Joyce Tilghman, Delores McNair, Susan Pitts, Barbara Huggins, Nadine Downing, Angela Ceaser and Andrea Muschette along with 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He was predeceased by two sisters, Darlene Costin and Deborah Costin and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Voice of Deliverance New Covenant Church, 1413 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Township. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
