Obituary of Barbara M. Hemple

Barbara Bohannan Hemple, 57, of Hopewell Twp. died suddenly at the family home on Sunday, August 27, 2023. She was born in Bridgeton to Barbara Meche Bohannan and the late Presker Bohannon, Jr. Barbara grew up in Shiloh and Roadstown. She had attended Shiloh Burough and Stow Creek Twp. schools and graduated from Cumberland Regional High School. She was the wife of Daniel R. Hemple and they had been married for 35 years residing in Hopewell Twp. Barbara is the mother of Daniel R. Hemple, Jr. and Matthew D. Hemple and grandmother to Wyatt Presker Hemple. She was an outdoor girl who loved the woods, camping, fishing and hunting. She was a great cook and loved to help others. Barbara loved her family, including her beloved goldens, Kimberly and Faith. She worked at Upper Deerfield Twp. Schools in the cafeteria and since 2017 had been employed in Food and Nutrition Services at Inspira Hospital-Elmer. Barbara is survived by; her husband, Daniel R. Hemple; her two sons, Daniel R. Hemple, Jr. (Ally) of Alloway Twp. and Matthew D. Hemple of Hopewell Twp. and her grandson, Wyatt Presker Hemple. She is also survived by; her mother, Barbara Mecke Bohannan of Roadstown; her siblings, Donna McDowell of Hoperwll Twp., Catherine Haaf (John) of Upper Pittsgrove, Sandy Kouhoupt (John) of Milmay, Marie Bohannan (Gary Erickson) of Bridgeton and Michael Bohannan of Stow Creek Twp.; her in-laws, Joan Hemple, David J. Hemple (Ellen) and Karen Trout and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by; her father, Presker Bohannan, Jr and her brother, Presker “Bo” Bohannan III.
