Obituary of Joel Perez Arriola

Joel Perez Arriola, 43, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland. Born in Acajete, Veracruz, Mexico to Pablo Perez Quintero and the late Margarita Arriola Barrena, he came to New Jersey at the age of 18. Joel had been employed at Wilson Nursery in Elmer for 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching baseball in Bridgeton, playing music and singing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by; his sister, Luz Anel (Celso) of Bridgeton; his father, Pablo Perez Quintero of Mexico; his step-children, Daisy, Esmerelda and Erick; his nieces and nephews, Jose (Jazmin) Daleyza, Belky and Valentina; his grandchildren, Valerie, Anthony and Jesus and his cousins, Felipa and Lucio. He was preceded in death by; his mother, Margarita Arriola Barrena and his brothers, Eduardo and Leonel. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at Parish of the Holy Cross, Immaculate Conception Church, 312 N. Pearl Street, Bridgeton on Thursday, September 21st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. A visitation will be held on Thursday morning, September 21st at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. from 8:30 AM-10:30 AM. La liturgia del funeral se celebrará en la Parroquia de la Santa Cruz, Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción, 312 N. Pearl Street, Bridgeton el jueves 21 de septiembre a las 11 a.m. El entierro se llevará a cabo en el cementerio Laurel Lawn en Upper Deerfield Twp.
