Obituary of Thelma J. McGriff

Thelma J. McGriff, age 87, of Bridgeton died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at South Jersey Regional Medical Center. Born on April 30, 1925 in Gloucester County, to the late Mart Pritchett and Della Landsdale Pritchett she was the wife of the late Roosevelt McGriff and had been a Bridgeton resident most of her life. She had previously been employed with Val Mode Lingerie and the P.J. Ritter Co. in Bridgeton and the Venice Maid Co. in Vineland. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Bridgeton. Surviving are four daughters, Harriet Ruth Gould, Gwendolyn McGriff and Linda McGriff all of Bridgeton and Janet Caldwell of Fairton; two sons, Francis Lloyd Pritchett of Vineland and Bruce McGriff (Goia) of Willingboro and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Pritchett, two sons, Richard and Roosevelt McGriff, Jr. and a brother, Lloyd Pritchett. Funeral services will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 90 Baltimore Avenue, Bridgeton, on Saturday, March 2nd at 1 PM. Friends will be received at the church from 11 AM to 1 PM. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
