Obituary of Harold A. Ayars

Harold A. Ayars, age 76, of Hopewell Township died Friday, September 2, 2011 at South Jersey Hospital-Elmer, where he had been a patient for one week following a brief illness. A Hopewell Township resident most of his life, he was born on March 14, 1935 in Fairton to the late Leon C. Ayars and Hazel Roray Ayars and was the husband of Dale Green Ayars. Mr. Ayars was a self employed dairy farmer most of his working life and owned and operated the Ayars Farm in Hopewell Township. He had also worked with the Cumberland County Road Department for 27 years and enjoyed wood carving. In addition to his wife, Dale, he is survived by a sister, Esther Mounts of Dividing Creek; a brother, Leon C. Ayars, Jr. of Shiloh and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday, September 8th at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.
